Reservations

At The Ship we will always endeavor to tailor your experience to suit your requirements.

The Board Room, our Private Dining Room, offers privacy, style and a sense of occasion. It is available for business meetings or group dining for up to sixteen people. We take reservations for lunch and dinner every day.

Our lunchtime a la carte menu is available between 12pm and 4pm and we welcome dinner reservations from 6pm onwards. The classic boards run all day.

On a Sunday we do not take lunchtime restaurant reservations due to the popular demand for tables; we simply operate a 'first come/ first served' policy. We stop serving lunch at 5pm and re-open for evening service at 7pm, for which we welcome reservations.

We take one reservation in the Main Bar daily, for the favoured corner table, which can seat up to 15 people, we leave all other tables free for walk-ins unless it is quiz night, when we welcome reservations for all tables. We also cater for parties of up to 60 people in our Public Bar, the smaller bar to the rear.

Our huge amount of outside space has lots of tables and areas suitable for parties of all sizes. Please note that we have stopped taking reservations outside at the weekend, when all tables are simply first come/ first served all day. During the week we take three outside reservations a day, the riverside (80 maximum), the restaurant side (50 maximum) and the flagpole table (15 maximum). Call or email to discuss your options.
