Terms & Conditions

All bookings for the Ship are subject to the terms and conditions set out below.

MENUS
1 All menu prices are inclusive of VAT at the standard rate
2 All menu prices are subject to optional 12.5% service charge

CONFIRMATION
i. All bookings are treated as provisional until a completed booking form has been received and confirmed.
ii. Confirmation of final numbers is required 24 hours in advance, i.e. by 12.00 noon for the following day’s lunch and by 5.30 p.m. for the following day’s dinner.
iii. This confirmed number is the minimum number for which you will be charged if you cancel without the required notice (see cancellation details below).

The reservations of areas/tables are valid for the time of booking and tables are kept for 15minutes after seating time. After this time the ship reserves the right to enforce the cancellation charge of £15 per head of confirmed numbers.

CANCELLATION
A cancellation charge of £15.00 per head will be made if a confirmed booking is cancelled:
i. January - November with less than 5 days' notice
ii. December with less than 7 days' notice
iii. At the time of Cancellation a Reference Number will be issued for your records.

BILL PAYMENT
i. Bills must be settled at the end of the event.
ii. Settlement can be either by personal or company credit card
iii. The Ship will only accept a maximum of 3 credit/debit cards against a single bill. Booked parties must settle the entire bill at the one time.

DAMAGE OR LOSS
The Ship will make a charge for excessive damage or breakages.

PRICES
i. The Ship reserves the right to change the prices currently stated.
ii. Prices quoted at the time of booking will be honoured. Except for The a la carte menu Which changes daily and the prices reflect the changing source produce prices

PLEASE NOTE
i. As per the Liquor Licensing Law, members of The Ship staff will be unable to serve liquor to any intoxicated person either in the Bar, the restaurant, The function room or the garden.
ii. The Ship reserves the right to refuse entry into the premises of any members of any party who are intoxicated.
iii. If such a situation arises and the function is cancelled by the management, it will be treated as a late cancellation and a charge of £15.00 per head will be made.
